I called in for a simple query...that is to retrieve my IDD details for all calls made to Australia from year 2001 to 2004 to facilitate my PRship application. Come on, anyone in their right mind will not keep bills so far back, rite!
But after digging my box (i.e. box filled with bills, bday cards, Hari Raya cards from family & frens etc), I managed to find bills from Dec 2004 till Dec 2006. Knowing how particular Australian immi is...I decided to request for much earlier details so that they won't give me more headache later.
Firstly, the Malay lady (whom I dun wish to name) who answered my call claimed I was too soft! Durhh..several people have called prior to my call to SingTel. And people often complained that the volume of call is loud..yet she claimed I'm too soft? Wat the......! Check ur ears WOMAN or check ur headset.
I clearly explained to her on my request. She told me I'll need to fax in to the Billing department a request and will be charged per bill, $5. Ok, fine! Then, I repeated my question again. I dun want my bills per se....I want my IDD call details n i dun hav a fax. Oh, go to Post Office and fax in from there!! Durh...can't I just email..
But, she replied in such a bitchy tone that TOTALLY pisses me off as a customer. She was CLEARLY...CLEARLY NOT LISTENING to my questions. Her mind seems elsewhere or prolly she jus doesn't understand English. More like the latter!!! I then asked whether I can get details of Global SMSes and she told me, "It's for REGISTERED CUSTOMERS only". Wat the.....u mean I'm not a registered cust??? Why would I even call Singtel if I don't even have a mobile line with them. Such a STOOPID and most GOONDU reply.
And, If any of u have called SingTel hotline before, you would realise that there'll be a prompt asking registered customers to enter their mobile numbers. Just like other custs, I keyed in my mobile number followed by the # key. Summore, there's a prompt saying "Please hold while we verify"...So how can she not know that I am a registered customer. She was also beating around bush and NOT answering my questions to the point. Y, u so blur is it? Or my English too chim for u to understand?? Wake up lar, woman!
I've NEVER in my life sent a complaint letter. And today's the first time! Errr wait...come to think of it..I have. I did complain to Qantas b4 cos I didnt get my Frequent Flyer Points. So, this is my second complaint in the history of my 26 years of life. I bombarded them with 3 emails!! So pissed cos not enuff characters to vent more of my frustration.
But anyways....just half an hr after that pissy call, sumone called. Well, it was the Duty Manager from SingTel Call Centre. Great...that was FAST! N great to have sumone who can hear me clearly (she didnt think i was soft at all...see..dat's wat i mean) and she understood my question clearly. She did admit that her staff asked unnecessary questions n gave nonchalant replies after listening to the voice logs. N guess wat, she's going to help me retrieve my records and call me back by Monday or Tuesday. See....such a simple query!
I have worked in a Call Centre before..so I understand if sumtimes cust are just TOO much and ask for stupid things. I'd be pissed off too if I get a cust like dat. But i was a NICE customer and I am not known for screaming at people. But today, I really screamed in frustration. The woman must be really bitchy for me to do that..
GAWD...I feel sooooooooooooooooooooo much better after typing this out!
