Yippee..I got my shoes!

My Singaporean kiasuness really showed yesterday. Why? Well, lemme give u a rundown of wat happened.

As you may already know, I was one of those shoe freaks invited to Nurul's Shoes @ Home Bazaar. And the bazaar was supposed to be from 3pm to 6pm (which i believe was extended to 8pm cos some people couldnt make it during the stipulated time).

So i planned my journey in a way that I'll reach her plc just in time for the opening (LOL!). Almaklum, wanna be first in line and wanna grab the nice shoes. So I got there at 2.55pm. I realised that the house door was still closed and it was really quiet inside the house. So i decided, I'll just wait a bit till I see a fellow shoe freak so can tumpang sekaki...and go to the door together. I waited for another 10 mins (3.05pm) and decided to go to the door again. Still no one!Hmm.. the first thing that crossed my mind was "Was the bazaar cancelled? and "Did I get the wrong address?".

Still too shy to press the doorbell (which is SOOO me!), I waited near the corridor for a fellow shoe freak to appear. Waited..waited..waite..and finally, I saw a lady with his son (whom I tot was her brother cos she looks so young and petite) and asked "Are you here for the bazaar too?". When she said yes, my heart leaped with joy. Got members finally!!! Yeay!

We went to the door again and both of us were still too shy to press the bell. Then, her kid decided to press the bell. Ding Dong! No reply. So one more time..Ding Dong! 5 seconds silence. Hmmmm...wats going on??? Then suddenly...CLICK...the door clicked open and we saw a middle-aged lady opening the door. The 3 of us just stood silent n prayed that we didnt get the wrong house. N then...we saw Nurul...PHEW! It was the right place afterall. Buat suspens aje!

And we were told we were the first ones to come and will have the chance to grab the nice ones. My gawd...I didnt think i was that kiasu. But being the 1st one...makes me one kiasu bugger! Ya well, so we went in and tadaaaa...all the shoes were laid out prettily in her living room...on a maroon cloth decorated with pebbles and stuff. Nice effort, I thought! A good way to showcase the shooes.

After a quick chat with Nurul, we started looking for SHOES! The Rounded Toe Wedge that I liked was already sold to Nurul's fren...Grr...but i didnt give up and continued looking. I was only focusing on the wedges...cos the high heels were..well...too high for me. I didnt see the Red Cork Wedge too. Damn! I saw the Braided Tan Wedge..tried it but too big. Damn! I am a size 7 but the shoes are size 8.5. The Croc Wedge Bronze is also pretty but it's a size 10. Grrr. The Snake Skin Wedge was too small for me (size 5.5). Grrr...And then I set my eyes on the Low Heel Brown Wedge...tried it..and it fits PURRFECTLY.

So I kept that shoe by my side the whole time while i continued looking...Tried and failed..tried and failed. Thus, i decided to get the Low Heel Brown Wedge before sumone else grabbed it. Well actually, not much competition at that stage (cos only the lady with a kid and another lady who came shortly after...)

Then, I had to be a bit thick-skinned and asked Nurul for a pic together. Teeheee.. My fellow shoe freak said "Sempat pulak tu"..Well dear (sorry forgot to ask for ur name), as the Malays say it "Sambil Menyelam, Minum Air '. Pahahaha...

This picture is dedicated to PENYU (u know who u r!!). Pahahaha.

Anyways, I was the 1st to arrive and 1st to leave. Well...till the next shoe bazaar. Thanks Nurul for the shoes, the drink and the hospitality...
