Here I am...woke up pretty early in the morning. This is just the case whenever I'm in Brissie prolly cos the sun rises so damn early. Hubby just left for work and guess this is the day when my wifely duty begins....AGAIN...after a short break.
Well, my Qantas flight yday (i.e Tuesday nite till Wednesday morning) was alrite. So many human beings entering Australia for the long Easter weekend so the plane was obviously full to the brim. I was sitting in the centre aisle together with a Norwegian lady and his 2 young sons. Really nice people, thank god. I expected myself to catch a cold and have running nose on the flight. And I did..but jus a slight running nose.
On the plane, I watched Dreamgirls, which in my opinion, was super BORING. I was watching it halfway and decided to switch to Babel and Employee of the Month instead. Got sick of Babel halfway too. I then decided to watch CSI and True Hollywood Stories (on Naomi Campbell and Pink) as watching shows that require alot of brain power will just bring me to sleep mode. Only took less than an hour of nap though....just as I always do when travelling alone. It's just me! Totally impossible to be fully asleep without a companion on a plane.
When I reached the airport, there were so many people going thru the Immigrations and having to queue together in the lines of human beings that early in the morning just ain't great at all. And guess wat, on the Immigration card, I can finally tick 'Migrating permanently to Australia' instead of 'Visitor or Temporary Entrant'. Haha, coolness! After immigrations, it was another long queue to get my luggage and go thru finally baggage screening. I was already feeling faint cos of 30 mins wait, warm airport (prolly too many people ard and the air-conditioned was not turned up strong enuf) and the heavy backpack/luggage.
Getting out into the waiting crowd was exciting as ever. It's normally easy to spot hubby from the crowd (you obviously know why!) but I couldnt see him yday cos there were so many freaking people on a weekday WEDNESDAY morning for goodness sake. As I walked, I could see a fella grinning at a corner and I quickly recognised the bald head. I felt a lil shy and had a sheepish smile on my face....just like meeting a boy for a first date. It's funny that after 7 years, I still feel that way. Hubby, as always, would tease me, "Shy ahh? Dun shy lar!"...Bugger.
Got back home and we started chatting in bed. After a while, we both dozed off.... Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Boring morning it was! Afterwhich, we went to Bob Jane to get the car's tyres checked while we go to Westfield to get my Optus SIM topped-up and buy a new pair of work shoes for Kirk. After the tyre check, we went to have 2-hour long SALAD dinner...YUM. The ended off soon after Heroes and Prison Break.
Orite now...back to wifely duties, before starting work proper in the "office".
