Dunno abt u..but we were so damn bored on Good Friday. Most of the shops were closed so there's really not much stuff to do.
We were bumming at home for a bit when hubby suddenly decided to go out. We left the house at 3pm and hopped on the Rav4 for a drive up to Redcliffe, 16 km away from where we are. We took a long scenic route along the beach with no specific destination in mind. It was pretty much an unplanned trip but I must say it's a great change from my "planned" daily life. I am the sort of person who like to plan ahead but Kirk does not. He is more of the spontaneous kind and will decide to go anywhere anytime at a moment's notice. I never liked it before but I guess I hv to move with the flow.
Quiet roads. Nice and windy afternoon. Bright and clear skies. Kids and adults flying kites. Couples having strolls along the beach. And of cos, the distinct smell of fresh sea water. Wonderful!

After the scenic drive, we stopped by the edge of the water and had a long chat in the car...while watching the sunset. It was nice and romantic. Wouldn't mind more of it!
