The weekend went by too quickly!!

I can't believe that the weekend was over even before I realised it. Time really flies.

Had a chance to watch a late-nite show with Kirk on Friday. We watched 'Shooter', starring Mark Warlberg. The show was allrite but not as dramatic as the epic '300'.

For the weekend, Kirk did a bit more advanced planning so that the days won't go wasted. So on Sat, we woke up early and went to the Australian Career Expo at the Convention Centre. The place was packed. I was hoping to see more banking corporations taking part in the Expo but guess not. Only ANZ was showcasing their thang! And one thing different abt the Career expo here is that they seem to put alot more emphasis on 'Trades' work like carpentry, mechanic work......aka hands-on-work. Its cool cos you get to see booths after booths of hands-on stuff. They had pastry chefs giving visitors a chance to do their own desserts, carpenters giving people the opportunity to do their own wood flooring, painters allowing people to let loose with the creativity on the set-up walls. Its way cool..

After that, we went to Shingles Inn to get some cakes. Passionfruit cheesecake and Chocolate Mud Cake! We packed it away and went to have our lunch at Queen Street Mall. I had a good ol' kebab while kirk had Indian food. When lunch is over to went to Westfield in Chermside to visit Kirk's fav store, EB Games. He went to exchange his game while I browsed through clothes in Valleygirl. Since I got here 3 weeks ago, I havent bought a single piece of clothing. Its just a matter of self-constraint and now, I'd rather spend $ on homewares. Been buying baking stuff bit by bit.......hoping that I could start sumthing soon. Anyways, we went home after that and Kirk cooked a wonderful dinner. Honey Mustard Chicken Pasta.....Lovely!

As for Sunday, we went to Jetty Markets at Redcliffe. We also took a stroll on the jetty and enjoy the wonderful breeze. We headed to Morgan's Seafood abit later to get something to eat. The place is a seafood paradise...selling both fresh and cooked seafood. The queue for Take Away food was long...and the place was busy!! Then, we went to our fav spot by the sea....near the ferry jetty to Moreton Island. Lovely place to have lunch and relax. I did take some pictures using Kirk's camera but havent uploaded them yet. I'll try to upload them tmr if I have time. But oops....I won't be free tmr.....Got a 4-hr Assessment session to go to... Another day perhaps.
