Profiteroles Anyone!

Its the long weekend again, here in Brissie! We had one last week cos of Anzac day and this week, its Labour Day (which conveniently falls on a Monday).

Saturday was pretty slow and easy. Woke up early to do the laundry as always. Then, we headed off to the Post Office to collect my long-awaited 10 kg parcel from mum! All sorts of goodies in there.....She got me sheer curtains for my formal living room, 2 bolsters (vacuum-packed of course), new prayer mats, new telekung, cushion covers, 'Sertu' soap (how cool!), Malay recipe book, facial cleansers, Kirk's medicated powder, Mopiko (just in case of mozzie bites), lizard traps and more! The thing that excites me the most was the bolster!! Sure, there are not as 'firm' as I'd love them to be but I'm CONTENTED! Ever since, I've been here...I have never seen a single, blardy bolster. I can't believe aussies don't use bolsters!

The rest of Saturday was spent surfing the net while Kirk plays his Xbox 360 (nothing new). I also watched Anugerah Industri Muzik on the Internet....which was dead boring except for the Siti Nurhaliza bits.

Sunday was supposed to be slow and easy but I didnt want time to go by wasted. So we woke up early and drive to Nundah to get our cheap but yet, super fresh veggies. Then, we headed down to Morgans to get some squid for cooking. Went back home and had seafood for lunch. Rice with Sambal sotong and vegetarian tom yum!!

Afterwhich, I spent almost 1 and half hours on my feet...ironing our work clothes for the week. Then, I decided to make some profiteroles....to satisfy my sweet tooth. Thank god, everything worked out fine.....(unlike my chocolate walnut cake last week....grrrr).
