My mother in law is coming from Melbourne to visit us this coming weekend. So we spent much of the weekend getting some supplies.
Truth is...Kirk has been procrastinating on the purchase of a dining table. His main excuse is that there won't be many people visiting us and the 2 of us always eat our meals at the coffee table anyway.
I told him that the main reason why we're eating at the coffee table is cos we dun even have a dining table... So durhhh!! And a dining table is an essential part of a home......NOT the tv loud speakers and stuff that he often rave abt! When his parents visited us last October, they already had to eat at the coffee table. That was bad enuff! I wouldnt want his mother to visit us again and end up eating at the coffee table again.
So after much argument, he gave in! On Sat, we headed to Ikea to see if there's any dining table that's worth buying. We found one that we like but we were so utterly dissapointed when we're told that the table is temporarily out of stock and will be in only in end of May. Bummer!! We discussed and decided that we'd wait for the stock to arrive anyway cos we dun wanna buy sumthing that we dun really like anyway. So, Mother....u may have to eat at the coffee table again. Since, we didnt get the dining table that we wanted, we bought other stuff like floor mats, bedsheets (so sick of our old ones!), comforters (the one we had was odd sized), bedside table (we havent bought any since we moved! Bed was given my mother in law anyway.) and etc.
We started our Sunday bright an early. We went to Nundah's Northside markets to get our weekly supply of vegetables. They are so much cheaper than those sold at the major supermarkets since the veges are sold by the farmers themselves. Afterwhich, we went to Bracken Ridge to get our supply of halal meats. We realised that this store is so much closer to our place as compared to the ones at Chinatown.
Then, we headed to Harvey Norman for a quick look-see...followed by a quick trip to Westfield to get his Xbox game changed (this is a weekly routine for him. he'll get one...and oftenly dun like it and returned it within 7 days).
Ok...enuff abt my boring weekend. I'm in fact waiting for more exciting things to happen this week....so...till then!
