27 Oct 2007 was Sherman & Shawn's big day. The day was jam packed with events. Church wedding started abt 11-ish, followed by a Chinese tea ceremony, an outdoor photography for the couple and the wedding dinner. Definitely a full-on event.
My mum cooked lunch...and as always, her food was given good reviews by all. Even Jude wanted my mum to cook lunch on his wedding day....but sad thing is, his wedding clashed with my dear cousin, Faizal's wedding. What's cool is the fact that my parents and mak long attended the church wedding despite our different religious beliefs...in respect of the family's invitation.
There were several touching parts from the wedding that made me cry. The first would be seeing Sherman's reaction when Shawn was walking down the isle with her dad. You can see that he was both in shock and so in love. The second would have to be..after the church ceremony where the bride and groom go round to get blessings from the elders. Kirk and I choked up just watching the whole thing (but kirk was more of a baby than i was...seeing his lil bro get married). The third one was watching shawn and her dad doing the first dance with a tune from Tamyra Gray, Dance with My Father Again. Listening to the song made me think of my own dad....and obviously..i cried AGAIN. The last one..was when sherman and shawn had their first dance with a tune sang by Taufik. You can just feel the love when watching the couple....and as expected..I cried...AGAIN. Cry baby me....
Our only regret for the day is NOT taking as much pics as we wanted to. But anyways, here are some pics from the wedding (taken from our own camera and also from jolene's and veron's).
