Shopping Craze!

Its been a looonnnnnggg day, I must say! Hubby and I woke up real early..ard 5am to 6am..prolly due to the loud chirpings of the birds on the tree outside our apartment. They are like our daily wake-up calls now, dun need anymore alarm clocks and stuff.

The husband made breakfast...toasted bread with cheese and sun-dried tomato filling. Yummy. He was..for some reason..so excited when it's time to use his newly-purchased bread toaster (it looks like the machine used by kebab stores...dunno wat its called really). Oh well, no complaints cos it's one less job for me.

As hubby got some work to do at the office (which is close to Queen Street), I decided to tag along in the car so I could do some window shopping...AGAIN (while he wastes his Saturday morning in the office)!!! I visited my usual haunts: (1) Valleygirl and Temt Factory Outlet Store, (2) Temt main store, (3) Valleygirl main store. These are 3 shops which I will not miss everytime I go to town. Shopping was a hobby...but NOW, I'm like in the midst of 'addiction'. Haha, no worries..I'm not a bad case shopper. I'm just a happy shopper who's really excited abt the sweet deals on CLOTHES. Do u know...u can actually get PRETTY, PRETTY tops and dresses from the above-mentioned store for AU$9.95 or less??!!! Its a RIPPER!! Hell yeah! I guess....some of u out there may already be aware...but I just found out recently (in September 2006 to be exact) since I came to Brissie to stay. It's like 'Shopping Heaven'...Other great places include Supre, Jay Jays etc...Also bought a few Australian Women's Weekly Recipe Books. Original Price was AU$12.95, Discounted Price was 3 for AU$20. Nice....I like! TWO hours of continuous walking paid off...hehe...feet hurts now!

Once the husband was done with work, we had Summer salad for lunch and headed off to the Cinemas to watch 'Blood Diamond'. Well, the show was Great....just too much blood splatters! Urggghh! Hope I can sleep well tonite! But at the same time, some parts of the show parallel so much things in real life that it made me cry a few times. For starters, the movie shows how a deep a father's love can be. Mothers r known to be emotional freaks but fathers often hide their emotions and seldom break that 'wall'. But "Solomon", one of the main characters in the show...went all out to save his son from the rebels. It was so touching. And also, it was sad to see young boys being trained to kill people and become heartless. We all shd be thankful of our lifes..although not perfect at times....we dun need to go through the perils of life in some parts of Africa (even up to this day).

Orite guys....the husband is dragging me out to watch tv with him. Till the next time...

P.S. The pictures of the stores that I have taken this afternoon are not professionally taken and a lil shaky...cos there were so many people walking ard and I couldnt get a perfect shot. So dun mind me!
