I finally received the news!

I started work earlier than usual today. It's just one of those days when I feel really energised and pumped up to start my daily routines. Checked my personal emails, Multiply a/c, Friendster a/c and read my favourite online blogs.

Work has been slow lately. The number of emails have seriously declined these days and at times, I find myself with not much work to do. I'm not the only one amused by this situation. The call volume at the Call Centre has also decreased by 50% in the past mth and drawing alot of concern from the big bosses in the office. But of cos, the email situation is both good and bad news for me. Less work means more free time....but less work also means lesser income since I'm paid on a per email basis.

At 11.48am today, I was busy sorting out the answered emails when I suddenly heard my mobile phone ringing. I saw the caller id display and recognised the caller immediately. Fearing I'd lose the call, I quickly grabbed my phone and fumbled for the 'Answer' button. I could feel my adrenaline pumping and my heart racing. I told myself, "Yes, It's the much awaited call! Pls let it be good news!!"

I quickly said 'Hello' and hoped I didnt sound like an excited teenager. I could hear Ms C's distinct voice on the other end. And, she quickly broke the important news to me. When I heard her saying the very words, I became totally speechless for at least 5 secs and could feel myself trembling slightly. I could only afford to tell her "Thank you. Thank you very much!". I was shocked but relieved. And of cos, I was excited and delighted at the same time.

After I hung up the call, I couldnt conceal my excitement any longer and quickly called my husband. Although the phone reception was bad, he heard the news and was obviously stunned and excited...considering the tone in his voice. I also called my mum and smsed several people including my father-in-law to inform them of it. I also MSN my dear cousin, Shidah, to share wth her the wonderful news.

It's just a blessing in disguise really. Who would have thought it'd happen so soon?

To those who know.....just Sssshhhhhhhh! To the rest of you, u'll know soon enuff.
