I've seen tonnes and tonnes of gals in Oz wearing black boots. And deep down, I really wanted to get one too. But I always hesistated and asked myself whether I really NEED one. Well, winter's coming soon and its a fact that my feet gets cold very easily even in an air-conditioned room. The boots would keep my legs and feet warm....underneath my boot-cut pants/jeans.
So, when my mum-in-law was in town, we went to Harbourtown on the Gold Coast....for some window shopping. I saw discounted boots on sale at one corner of a store. I looked at them....inspected them for at least 10 times... tried a few designs (at least 5 designs).....and after a good 15 mins, I decided to put them back. This is despite the fact that Kirk said 'They look nice" (Psst..he was genuine abt it..I know him!!).
But, It's just me...I dun like buying things on impulse...I'd normally look ard at other places first before deciding to buy. So..there u go...I put them back.
Then, my mum in law (who was previously at a different section of the store) came by and encouraged me to buy....and helped me to look for sizes and designs. I was so guilty cos she went out of her way to look through the piles of boxes for the size and design that I like. I was so guilty that I bought a pair.................DANG! The persuasion power of a mother in law...
Well, that's just a lame excuse actually. I want one...but just didnt have the guts to buy it. I was $50 poorer when I got out of the store. So much for my self-restraint!!!
